Does anyone have a list of the non-profession granted schematics? The kind you loot? Like Droid Head, Droid Body, Tanned Hide, Weapons Rack, Mando Armor, Jetpack, Technical console, Radar screen, etc, etc.

Very cool, had noticed that things like the dispaly fish, fruit bowl, modified mk v fusion reactor weren't on the list (I'm not being nit picky, just curious). When you get it, post what you have so we can verify it (use the info ;)) please.

Also, would like to take the time to say thanks to you all, this does look very nice, and am thus far encouraged by the functionality. Since I work in a flight simulator environment, I see everyday how much work it does take to write/de-bug code. /salute

Gotten through expertise. You probably wouldn't get them before master but you could get them earlier.

The other professions that are granted schematics via expertise are all new ones--i.e. they were not on the original site. However, the chef ones were merely a reintroduction of old schems that were rendered uncraftable when the NGE hit.

Hey, I'm thinking about starting out an engineer. I can pull up schematics by level if you let me know the exact data format you are looking for please.

Just fire off the format to my registered email and I will get things started to be put together for you.

First off, quite a few schematics are already known but may possibly be edited and rectified. The current (a tad old) data is found an XML file at
EDITED: Files now found at http://simongronlund.googlepages.com/swgresourcefiles.

Then, the data for an entry is:

Code: Select all

Name: (exactly as read, no abbreviation)
Description: (read at the bottom of the schematic)
Achieved at level:
Complexity:
Data size:
XP:
Notes: (if any)
Resource name: (exact name or swgcraft_id)
   Units:
   Description: (such as "Foundation")
Component name: (exact name)
   Units:
   Description: (such as "Foundation")
Main experiment title:
   Sub experiment title:
      Stat=nn [Stat=nn ...]
For resource, component, and experimentation, repeat as many times necessary. Mainly, follow the pattern read in the XML which makes whatever text provided easily to parse by a script.

Well, I'd love to do that but I'm not into the practical part of coding so my contribution to 'the cause' will be limited to posting missing schematics the way I posted them in the other thread.

Anyway, BM schematics are definitely not in the XML package.

That is perfectly OK, no need for coding. The above is just a format, use the part up to and including the colon mark, and I will parse the rest into the public schematic XML file regularly. In turn, that file can be parsed by any application and is human readable, while ugly :D

Does anybody still have this file?

For now I have converted the XML Zimoon provided to xls and then into access. If nobody has a updated XML to share I'll just do it.

I wasn't around the the pre-NGE days though so I'm not sure which professions merged...was it like this...
Structures: All of shipwright, architect, and ranger (camps)
Munitions: All of Armorsmith and Weaponsmith
Domestics: All of Chef and Tailor
Engineer: All of Droid Engineer and Artisan

But what about the others?
bio engineer, munitions?
combat medic
medic

I want to make an updated NGE schematics XML for MyRes
