For those of us who hide hunt for fun, what are the specific resources you need, and what values are most inportant? Flavor, pe, etc? Also what do YOU pay hunters for these parts?

Creature Structural

For bone and hide, OQ, DR and SR are the important stats. OQ is by far the most important--for foods, it affects the strength of the buff and has a bearing in the quantity and in the filling and duration.

For BE tissues that chefs make, we want to use a bone, hide (or wood) that has over 900OQ (and preferably 1000) in the organic slot. No other stat matters for that purpose.

Creature food

For meat and milk to be used in foods, all four stats technically matter. PE and OQ are most important (with PE being the highest), followed closely by FL and DR. The PE/OQ combo is weighted 66% for PE and 33% for OQ. OQ also is the lower-needed percentage in all of the other areas of experimentation which is why it is second most important. The goal would be to have all four stats as high as possible, of course.

For meat and milk that are used in BE tissues, it's weighted 50% OQ, 30%PE and 20% FL. The goal would be to have all three stats as high as possible.

As for payment, it will certainly vary across servers. The high-OQ bone and hide is likely to spawn far more often. I am not sure what others pay, but I would expect to pay 5-8 CPU for high OQ only bone and hide.

Top notch meat for BE tissues, I'd take the price the hunter requested most likely--I suppose I'd expect to pay 10-20 depending on how high the average is however to pay higher than that the average would have to be at least 930. Top-notch milk for making foods could easily pay 10-50 CPU depending on how good it is.

Eggs for BE tissues I would pay prices similar to milk--but again for me the average would need to be at least 930 for the high end of that.

I'd be curious to hear what other chefs would/do pay.

Just a little depressing to read these prices per unit

For me on Farstar it was hard enough to find someone who actually hunts. In the first there were only some who said "well ok i can do the 10 missions and sell you what i harvest"

Those who hunt want 60-90 CPU for Hide, Bone, Meat. I bought a large stack of meat on the forums for 35CPU. I guess i was pretty lucky then :(

I didn't even dare to ask for milk prices.

I usually do hunt what i need on my own since it's quite easy to get good amounts in a short period of time.

It is sad I agree.

I get round this by using res crates for milk. I use wood of OQ998 for Be tissues of which I paid 10cpu for a lot and mined it myself to the tune of 40m units of it and a spawn of 1000 OQ has just popped up to my delight and for meat for BE tissues well i paid 20cpu as it was easy to get (Shanraffs I believe) but when the next good spawn of meat pops up I am sure I'll be paying a minimum of 50cpu and there will almost certainly be a 200-300k rise in my prices per crate to re-coup this back...despite whatever deep pockets i may or may not have when the time comes...

I do all my mining myself and i practically sub 2-3 accounts just to mine as prices would maybe not break me but certainly put up my prices and I'd be a lot poorer... :(

Those were the days when there were plenty of friendly Rangers filling every possible need you had. Back then I played Master Doc, and yes, prices on Avian Meat (necessary in buffs such as Enhanced Health Medpack) could go crazy. Did the Avian Meat meet all required stats the prices quickly passed 150 CPU anyway, no matter the number of hunters. On the other side, players used to pay 12k+ for a normal set of buffs >> some profit ;)

No, I repeat, "No!", I did not sit at Cnet buffing my millions. I was a poor Swordsie as well and enjoyed that combo, Doc/Sw, out in the field.

Well, just 'avian meat' is EASY. Lok. Or Talus, though amounts are lower. GOOD is the question.

Want an easy meat? (Flurry) Today, I found that good old Tatooine Carnivore Meat is at OQ 965, PE 970, FL 953, though DR is only 141.

Any newbie could be hunting that for you... Rills.

To get back to topic....

For armor we need all kind of hides, but only OQ and SR matters. An average above 850 should be pretty good.

For some kind of armor, avian and regular bone is needed.
