Hello, it's me again.

Since we are able to put a basic stat piece into chest, shirt and weapon, I wonder how to mass produce those parts. If you start a factory run e.g. of chests, you cannot put the armor bits into the chest. But I guess, customers would like to get the additional stats, even if they are not really high.

How do you solve this problem? Do you mass produce anyway? Or do you wait for custom orders?

You cant mass produce them, or at least not without an illegal third party utility.

SOE/LA wants to get away from mass production crafting and almost all of their new procedures will involve "hand crafting".

They are not removing factories from the game, or at least not any time soon. This policy is actually an old one now. The first steps of it were in JTL, a year and a half into the game, when many Shipwright schematics could not be run in factories. Its just a decision on their part that one player mass producing 1000s of items is not good for the game. They would rather see 1000s of players making a few items each.

Unfortunately there are not 1000s of players crafting, it's more like 10s of players are real traders.
And handcrafting of hot-selling products is just boring.

Anyway, my armors go away still good, even without the basic stat.

And they cannot remove factories at all, due to the need for the subcomponents. Nobody is willing to hand-craft all the structural modules, walls, synth clothes etc.
