SWGaide filtering problem/bug?

Post by Swedishoyster » Mon May 17, 2010 10:13 am

I have a problem with filtering in swgaide, in the picture below (picture 1), if I click on the text "Advanced Weapon Stock 1.0/0.73 *capped* >AWESOME< 5", it doesn't filter it, instead I get a blank screen (picture 2).

Only pressing Clear helps and return me to the original view.

Now this doesn't apply to everything, some stuff are filtered and some aren't.

My theory is that some of the special characters * / > < is messing with it?
Sork Inc. Perdition, Dantooine
Hunterella, Architect/Armorsmith - Sorkella, Ranger/Riflewoman
Snufsan, Tailor/Chef/x - Healerella, Doctor
Bimborella, Swordswoman/Medic - Sniperella, Rifle/BE

I will look into it, I believe I tried some smart regular expression for filtering which of course will choke if I do not escape fancy characters like * in component names. Maybe other characters as well.

On a completely different note:
For a user that use search filters at the Bazaar the name does not make a difference, he sets up the filter to do the job for him on the relevant stats. No need for fancy names ;) But that was a completely different topic, shame on me

lol, well this >AWESOME< I use is like a guide for the buyer that it's my best work in a factory line, while *capped* ofc means it's capped (but might not be factory made).
So any buyer would do best to just filter for >AWESOME< to get the best :-) not everyone use the bazaar filter and those are "eyecatchers" if you just are browsing.

Anyway i noticed it this morning and just thought I should mention it.

I nailed this issue to the * in the fancy naming, sorry for the delay.
In next update I have disabled filtering with regular expressions.

To whoever:
If you read this sentence and did not understand, then I have disabled something you do not use anyway 8)
If you read this and understood and you will really miss reg-exp:s, now is the time to mourn and whine...

Next update more and more seems like quite a bug&minor-request-update
Date: a few days, I just want to test and use the stuff before...

Indeed, give her a dot star and see her greedy routine eat everything in full, not a pretty sight, true nevertheless :P

The above is a true inside joke, get it or get lost
